my very first time at the rave was when marilyn manson played during his grotesk burlesk tour and it was amazing. since then everytime manson comes to the eagles ballroom i see him everytime. my other time was when black label society played with black stone cherry opening for them when stillborn played we moved to the back and there was black stone cherry standing there so i got to meet all of the members

My manager from work took me and a few other friends. I lost them all in the mosh pits which were also fucking out of this world. I loved every second of it. I sooooo want to see them again in concert.

My first time was for Insane Clown Posse back in 2000. It was during their "wicked clowns from outer space" tour. My cousin took me since no one else wanted to go and I was only 15 at the time. It was crazy to see them throw Faygo all night long inside the rave. Even though I've grown out of ICP in my years, I still see them when they come around.

my first time at the rave was December 15, 2006 for the all-american rejects, that was awesome, got to meet and hang out w/ openers motion city soundtrack, the format, and boys like girls. then came January 30, 2007 for hinder...hinder is amazing! then came May 25, 2007 for three days grace and breaking benjamin, that was such a great concert! all three times i've been there i've had the greatest time, the rave such an awesome venue, and don't mind the three hour drive too much for great music.

I was 16 at the time, everyone was at least twice my size, wearing all black and leather jackets and smoking, I was in awe. I never forget it.

Hundreds of concerts later, The Rave will always be my second home.

My first show at The Rave was in August of 2000. I went with my boyfriend at the time for my birthday to see Pollen, One Man Army, Suicide Machines, and Less Than Jake. It was my rebirth. It's an addiction. I was just there the other night, and the week before... I've always loved the place and the bar staff is pretty kick ass as well. I really like that the bands come out more now. I've got plenty of crappy camera phone pictures from the club that I wouldn't trade for the world. =) <3's this place!

My first concert at the rave was Slayer with backups Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, Mastadon and Thine Eyes Bleed. The show was rowdy and since then i have attened like 7 more metal shows. My last concert was when Lamb of God headlined. i plan on attending the upcomming Hatebreed show in june.

My first show at the Rave was September 21, 2006 for Gigantour. Arch Enemy, Opeth, Lamb of God, and Megedeth. I just remember stepping foot into the ball room and being absolutly amazed by it's beauty. My crew and I worked our way into the center of the crowd; a prime spot for a pit to start. I remember Arch Enemy played first and I was blown away by several things.
A) how hot Angela is
B) how great they sounded
C) how intense that pit was.

I still remember the first song played that night, Nemisis. The night just got better from there.

I've been going to shows there ever since especially because I'm a student at UWM now and can take the route 30 bus to the rave from the dorms and back to the dorms from the rave. I love every minute that I spend in and around that building.

My first concert at The Rave/Eagles Club was The All American Rejects in 2006. They were really great. I was only 12, so I kinda didnt know what to do. I didnt know that rule 'Never wear the shirt you bought at the show at the show', so i did that. I was in the middle of the crowd, so of course i got pushed around and moved a lot...I got out. After that i was in the back the entire time with my mom >.< . I still knew most of AAR's songs and I had a good time sitting in the back for the whole show (which I'll never do again).

My first concert was just this year for my 15th birthday. Went to Taste of Chaos 2008! Avenged Sevenfold is my favorite band, and they were amazing live. Since it was my first time, I wasnt aware of the huge upstairs stage, so my dad, best friend, and I all sat at the smaller stage near the bar stage for the first 3 hours. We managed to see all of the headliners, though. Bullet was awesome! I want to come back again in July to watch Bullet once more, but my parents are saying no as of now. The mosh pit was INSANE, but when A7X opened up, it just got too insane. I had to get outta there. Still, it was the most fun ive ever had.

My 'first time' experience at The Rave was way back in 1991 (I think anyway!) when I saw Social Distortion rip through an awesome set! Most of the show was a terrific, chemical induced blur but I will never forget how Ness stopped in the middle of a song and actually fought a guy in the crowd who threw something onstage. I've easily seen 100 shows since then at Rave/Eagles and it is by far my venue of choice even though I live in Chicago. Most recently I saw an incredible Blue October show and will attend many more even if i am an old fuck!!

I also have to mention another crazy, mid 1990's show i saw at Eagles. I had just finalized my divorce and a friend gave me tix to see Iron Maiden play. I was a huge Maiden fan as a kid but had gone a very different direction in musical tastes since! I couldnt find anybody to go at late notice but decided to go alone. I remember it was over 100 degrees outside which means about 10000 degrees in the sold out eagles ballroom and there were probably less than 10 women at the show. The heat and Maidens roar made it seem like the pits of hell but they were awesome and I had a great time!!

The Rave is such an amazing concert venue, I've seen a show in every room, most recently the 2008 Taste of Chaos. I've seen Avenged Sevenfold there three times now... I wish I could go to every rock show there, but it sucks cause it's a 2 hour drive, (one way) and the gas prices are killing me!

My first time at the Rave was in Gigantour like a month or so ago....i still have memories about it. High on Fire opened, followed by Job For A Cowboy, Children Of Bodom and In Flames. (skipped Megadeth, yes im sorry.) never forget how fucked up moshing in the front couple rows was, having hundreds of fans around you surging towards the front. if that doesn't get you fired up for your favorite bands i don't know what the fuck will. Had a great time, going to see hatebreed next, hopefully the same experience! later.

Suprisingly my first time at the rave was last month. I finally got to see Killswitch Engage for the first time, and it couldnt have been at a better effing place. Also my first time in Milwaukee, we hit up a bar before the concert, got some free Jimmy Johns, and stayed at a hotel within walking distance of the rave. The venue has a great vibe and all of the bands were awesome! Despite my bloody nose on the last song, i am totally coming back this weekend for another concert. These damn gas prices arent going to stop me!

Yikes, I guess I'm the oldest one posting - LOL My first concert at the Eagles Club was on Thursday, October 25, 1984 with Scandal & John Waite. I remember it being a great and FUN show!! I still have my ticket stub and also the pictures that I took that night The next concert that I've seen at the Eagles Club was on Tuesday, January 29, 1985 with Krokus and I think Dokken opened up. I've been going ever since........ I love going to see concerts at the Eagle's Ballroom and the Rave!!

My first concert and first time at the rave was when I was 12 to go see TestAmenT with a friend in 95 or 96 if I remember correctly.My mom dropped us off,haha.I was the smallest person there and it wasnt even packed which made it such a cool and intimate show.But my highlight of the night was while me and my friend were watching the opening acts from the back,In enters Chuck Billy the singer of TestAmenT. I was so young and star struck. I didnt have anything for him to sign,so he signed my dollar bill which I still have to this day.After that,TestAmenT storms the stage and opens up with 'The Preacher'!!! The whole show was a Thrashtastic experience.Brilliant first concert! I'm now 23 years old and TestAmenT is returning to The Rave on August 1st 2008 and yes my mom will be dropping me off to this show!

My first time was in the early 90's...it was one of the first Warped Tours with NOFX and Goldfinger, Reel Big Fish, etc. Bands played upstairs as well as downstairs. At that age the ballroom seemed so enormous. A bazillion shows later, the place feels just like home.

My first time at The Rave was December 7th,2007. And along with 8,000 other screaming girls I was seeing the Jonas brothers! My first impression was, "Holy cow, how are you going to fit 8,000 girls into that place" well...no...not really, I didn't have a first impression I was too excited to care. I did take notice of the staff's incredible organizational skills with the numbering system they worked out, you showed them your ticket and they gave you a piece of paper with a number on it and they called in numbers by 100's ("everyone numbers 100-200 up to the front!"). The architecture of the building was really cool too, it was like victorian, nothing you'd expect in downtown Milwaukee. The Eagles Ballroom was where this one was held and I(along with probably everyone else)was surprised that the floor didn't break. Overall the concert was amazing, it was the least amount I've ever paid for a ticket, but it was the BEST concert I've ever been to, and everytime we drive past the Rave my stomach takes a jolt and I get excited, maybe it's because that's the place where I was in spitting distance of the 3 coolest, creativeist (if that's a word), and hottest people in the world (that's the Jonas Brothers if you didn't know), or maybe it's just the cool vibe that place gives off. Either way, I'm looking forword to attending another concert there very soon!!!

My first time at The Rave was for the Kissmas Bash of `06 with All-American Rejects, Motion City Soundtrack, The Format, Boys Like Girls, and Gym Class Heroes. That was an amazing show and the crowd was huge unlike any other I'd seen before. At that show, I fell in love... The band, Boys Like Girls. I was shoved up against the rail for their whole show and parts I could barely breathe, but oh my goodness, they were amazing. To this date, they are my favorite band. I have seen them at The Rave, twice (March 9, 2007 ; November 10, 2007 ; and once at Warped Tour last summer, WHERE I MET THEM!), and I will seeing them again this July when they headline once more, with Good Charlotte, Metro Station <3, and The Main. (:
I love The Rave. The people are crazy. The music is amazing. The venue is beautiful and the sound is actually good! I go to concerts all the time now, and The Rave is my favorite place to see live music.

My first concert at the rave was Cradle of filth with 3 Inches of Blood and The 69 Eyes, on Febuary 3, 2008. We had a rough time getting down there.... at the concert my friend Brad was afraid to go to the bathroom, after a little concvincing he went. Anyway we had a great time, got in the 2nd row... After the show we went to the gas station and saw Timo-Timo ((From the 69 Eyes)) there!

Yea...that was quite a while ago when I was at the Eagles Ballroom. It was 1989 and I saw Testament open up for Megadeath. This was also my 1st general admission show too. I instantly found myself in the middle of the pit with tons of huge guys pounding everyone in the pit. I was a frosh in high school at the time and went with some older friends from work. It was amazing and I still have great thoughts of my first real general admission metal show. I've gone back and have seen many bands there since. Bio-hazzard, Fishbone, Sebastain Bach, Green Day (very early), Days of the New, Slayer, hmmm.. can't remember everyone else but the last few times I was there the staff is still very cool and it is always a place where I try to check out shows. My VERY FIRST concert ever was at the Rave. Tonight. I just got home 45 minutes ago.

It was AMAZING. I can't wait to go again!! The Maine, Metro Station, Good Charlotte, && Boys Like Girls played, in that order.

A small mosh pit started right in front of me and me and the person I was with went in to get across so we could get closer to the front!

I would suggest to not wear pants because it gets super hot; especially if you go in the middle. ^_^ I didn't know what to expect before I got there. And it was WAY more than I expected!! I wouldn't have changed any of it expect I would have brought my camera, not worn pants, and gotten to the way front. If those 3 things would have happened, my night would have been ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.

I am soo stoked to go to another concert! jfdiajfad!!

my first time was in August of 2005 to see All American Rejects. I went with a friend from high school and my cousin. Im originally not from the Milwaukee area and it was my first time driving in Milwaukee. I ended up getting into a car accident and my car started on fire and everything but my trunk burnt up. No one was hurt and my aunt who lives in Milwaukee came and picked me up and we ended up going to the concert anyway! It was an an amazingggggg concert ! probably not worth all the expenses and stuff, but it was defiantly memorable!

The first time that I went to the rave was july 7th, 2006 for the unholy alliance tour with my best metalhead and friend dan. I thought that the place was amazing the overall atmosphere just seemed more metal then anything. Not to mention the show itself that was playing that night. I now visit the rave fairly frequently and I consider it my home away from home. When I drive past it I give it the full metal salute! That concert was unforgetable and made a lasting impression, it was my first metal show that I actually went and actually moshed in. I was deprived as a kid and going there when I could was a treat and a good time. Slayer, lamb of god, children of bodom, need I say more? keep the metal flowing and I'll be there as much as possible!

One of the guys I was with lost his contact when a guy with a mohawk got him in the eye. What are the chances?!? Of course, that didn't stop us from going back time after time!

my first time at the rave was for warped tour WAY back when...it was incredibly hot and everyone was sweaty and stinky and awesome. it was cool b/c you got to hang out with the bands - my friends and i got invited onto sugar ray's tour bus with less than jake and we thought we were so cool. my other fond memory of the rave was to see korn in 97- some guy staged dived off a speaker and no one caught him. ouch! last show was to see alice in chains where they recorded the set b/c the ballroom's sound is so great! thanks for the memories rave!

My first Rave exsperience was back in 2005 I think maybe 2006. I went and saw Chiodos, Atreyu, EveryTimeIDie, and (From First To Last...I think?). Well I went with my best friend Aaron and his cousin Alex and holy shit it was an amazing night, Chiodos is one of my favorite bands and damn I was going crazy when they were playing! The only bad thing about the night was when From First To Last couldn't perform because Sonny lost his voice and couldn't sing, Craig from Chiodos said he would be more than happy to fill in for the night but Atreyu was gay and said if that happened Chiodos wasn't gonna get their share of pay for the tour.

Not only attending many concerts but also playing a few at the Rave of my own in my band Vendetta Blakk....the Rave has become my second home, I love every time I walk in that door and just smell the aroma of passion filled music lovers and performers! Yeah, isn't gonna be too long till I will be back again!

my first concert at the rave was JONAS BROTHERS. i was right behind the fence that separates the "mosh pit" from the rest of the area. being to many of their shows before that in 2006 and early 2007, i was used to being like in the first 5 rows bcuz they didnt have that many fans back then i always managed to get real close so i thought that my spot wasnt that good, but after going to MANY more of their concerts after that i realized that that was as close as im ever gonna get ever again.

but yeah, the place is AMAZING. i love the architecture and design of the building. althought waiting for like 2 hours in a tshirt out in DECEMBER was quite cold, and then waiting inside for a few more hours was crazy boring, it was SOO worth it in the end!!

then just the other week i saw Boys Like Girls, Metro Station, The Maine, and Good Charlotte, 4 AMAZING BANDS. the show was GREAT, the acoustics were great, and i met a lot of awesome people there.

im kind of in mad love with that place now<3

the first time i went to the rave ( i can recall) i'd have to say i saw the early novemeber in 2005, dont qoute me on the year. however i went with a girl who i was head over heels for, but told my girlfriend a the time i was going with some dude i worked with. i know shame on me but the place and the show rocked, i had a great time. i've been back a few dozen times since then.

My very first concert was at the Rave Ballroom. The Offspring, Lunachicks and The Vandals, on June 10, 1995. There was a second show added on the 11th because of high demand of tickets, and they were pretty cheap too ($14). I was only 11 years old at the time, so my mom took me, and we got to the Rave like 3 hours before the show, and I got to meet Noodles, the guitarist from the Offspring. He signed my bandana, and told me that he wanted to see me rocking out.

When the show started, the Vandals hit the stage, and my mom and I were right smack in the middle of the mosh pit, and she was SCREAMING her lungs out, telling me to hold on to her and her purse. We made our way out of the pit, and to the rail guard on the right side of the stage, and told me to stay with a lady security guard while she went to smoke a cigarette and get a beer. My mom was so shook up, her hands were shaking.

When the Offspring hit the stage, Noodles was on the right side of the stage, and noticed me, and tossed me a guitar pick. My mom came back, and a few songs later, he handed my mom a small bottle of Jack, which my mom chugged right away, lol!

After the concert, my mom was looking for her zippo which she lost in the mosh pit, and we were looking on the ground for hit, when Noodles and his guitar tech came up to the guard rail, and tossed me an Offspring shirt which I still have to this day.

It was without a doubt, the best concert of my life.

my first time at the rave was may 7 , 2007 to see NEW FOUND GLORY, and it was amazing jordan, the singer , came down right next to me twice and i held his arm while he sang then he looked at me then gave me the mic and let me sing a whole second verse of my friends over you. then i went to there tour bus when the whole place was empty and they singed my cell phone( mint condition still) and other stuff. it was the most amazing night ever and ever since i go to the rave about 4 times a month, plus i love the people there their like family now lol

My first time was years ago, I was really obsessed with My Chemical Romance after I saw them open up for Green day as my first concert.
September 21, 2005. Wow that doesn't seem like that long ago.
I've gone to hundreds of concerts since, most of then at The Rave.
It'll forever be my favorite concert venue.
So much has happened to me there, I really do consider it my second home.
The Rave is fucking magical.

The first time I went was May 19, 2000 for the Punkorama tour with Distillers, Dwarves, Bouncing Souls, and Dropkick Murphys. I was 15 and we went for my friends birthday. A very punk rock experience I got spat on by the bands, kicked in the head by somebody crowd surfing, and went in the pit. I still make it back whenever I can and I'll be there for Danzig and GWAR in October, it's a good thing I don't live in Milwaukee cause I'd spend all my money there.
